We’ll start the morning white, (err.. right) with a glass of refreshing local white wine, before we tap into the reds offered by one of the top biodynamic winemakers in Chianti, where we’ll get to taste the range from award winning Chianti Classico and Riserva to critically acclaimed Super Tuscan wines from the Maremma, the region made famous by internationally acclaimed Sassicaia and Ornellaia wines.
After all that wine a little cheese is called for, so we’ll head to a tiny organic goat farm where we can visit the goats before sitting down to an all organic cheese-board tasting the best creamy, fresh and aged Goat Cheeses made in Tuscany, accompanied with wine of course. These highly seasonal cheeses are made in very limited amounts, and many are only available on the farm or in the regions top restaurants.
After our light lunch, we’re off to hills, for an exclusive outdoor tasting at the private home of the winemaker where we will sit in the shaded garden and enjoy panoramic views that reach all the way to the famed medieval towers of San Gimignano in the distance, as we enjoy another 3 wines including both a Chianti Classico and a Riserva.
